Race 2, 2025 ATC Season Wraps Up: Fleming’s 1st Win, Ogiwara P2, Alfonsi Daquiguan P7 — finishing 3rd in Championship Points
26 October 2025 - Circuit, Malaysia
The final FIM Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup race of 2025 has come to an end as Terrin Fleming from Thailand takes his first ATC win with a photo-finish victory over the 2025 Champion Ryota Ogiwara who finished second and Haruki Matasuyama in 3rd.
Filipino rider Alfonsi Daquigan (bike #22) finished 7th after leading early in the race until two laps to go. He is 3rd in the finals championship standings with 148 points.
The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (ATC), launched in 2014 by Dorna Sports, is a premier talent development series for young riders aged 14-17 from Asia and Oceania, serving as a key stepping stone on the Road to MotoGP™ by feeding into advanced programs like the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and FIM JuniorGP™ Championship—evidenced by alumni such as Ai Ogura and Somkiat Chantra debuting in MotoGP in 2025. Riders compete on identical Honda NSF250R Moto3 machines with Pirelli tires, emphasizing skill over equipment in two races per round using the MotoGP points system.
The 2025 season features six rounds across Asia: Sepang (Malaysia) opener, Lusail (Qatar), a standalone Malaysian Superbike support, Motegi (Japan), Mandalika (Indonesia), and Sepang finale, with most events alongside the MotoGP World Championship for high-exposure racing.
