Bajaj Asserts Independence: TriMotors Launches Five-Model Pulsar and Dominar Lineup

ALABANG, Philippines — Bajaj has officially stepped out from the shadow of its decade-long partnership with Kawasaki, marking a definitive shift in its Philippine operations. At the "Future in Motion" event held last February 26 at the Filinvest Tent, the Indian manufacturing giant, in partnership with TriMotors Technology Corporation, formally established its independent brand identity in the local market.

While Bajaj products were previously distributed via a strategic tie-up with Kawasaki Motors Philippines, this relaunch signals a move toward global brand autonomy. TriMotors now serves as the sole distributor tasked with scaling the brand’s 2-wheel operations nationwide.

From Gala to Grid: The Two-Day Brand Launch

The "Future in Motion" launch was a two-part event designed to showcase both the corporate shift and the on-road capabilities of the new lineup.

  • Day 1: The Unveiling: Held on February 26, 2026, at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, the first day served as the formal gala and brand declaration.
  • Day 2: The Test Ride: On February 27, 2026, the action moved to the Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite. Media members, club riders and dealers were given track time to put the new Pulsar and Dominar models in track mode, emphasizing the performance-first DNA Bajaj is now marketing independently.

Media Raffle: A Big Win for Lifestyle on Wheels

The Day 1 festivities included a raffle for the media attendees, which saw one of the industry's familiar faces take home the grand prize. Donna Alo of Lifestyle on Wheels was the lucky winner, walking away with a brand-new Bajaj Pulsar N160 to kick off the brand's new era in the Philippines.

The "3S" Expansion Strategy

To address consumer concerns regarding long-term ownership, TriMotors emphasized a 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) infrastructure. The distributor aims to leverage its existing footprint, which already services over 80,000 three-wheeler users, to support the motorcycle lineup.

Infrastructure Highlights:

  • Touchpoints: Over 1,900 authorized dealer and service centers.
  • Reach: Presence in 720 cities and municipalities.
  • Technical Support: Dedicated 3S facilities with trained technicians and a prioritized spare parts pipeline.

The 2026 Lineup: Five Key Models

The launch featured five distinct models designed to compete across the commuter, sport, and touring segments. Notably, the arrival of the NS400Z brings a new higher-displacement option to the Pulsar family.

The pricing strategy positions the Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400 as highly competitive options in the sub-500cc segment, particularly for riders seeking expressway-legal machines under the 210,000 mark.

ModelAvailable ColorsSuggested Retail Price (SRP)
Pulsar N125Purple, Red₱79,888.00
Pulsar N160Black, Red₱115,888.00
Pulsar RS200Black₱133,888.00
Pulsar NS400ZBlack, Red, White₱199,888.00
Dominar 400Black, Green, Red₱208,888.00

The inclusion of the Pulsar NS400Z at just under 200,000 is a significant move, offering a performance-oriented alternative to the long-standing Dominar 400 for those who prefer a naked sport profile over a tourer.

From Collaboration to Command

This transition represents more than a change in paperwork. By removing the "Kawasaki-Bajaj" dual branding, Bajaj is betting on its own engineering DNA and global status, it currently operates in over 100 countries, to win over Filipino riders. The move positions Bajaj as a direct competitor to the Japanese "Big Four," utilizing TriMotors' aggressive local network to bridge the gap in after-sales confidence.

With the Dominar 400 and the new NS400Z in the stable, Bajaj is clearly targeting the "expressway-legal" segment that dominates the enthusiast market in Luzon.
